Saint Laurent in New York seeks an Associate Buyer for Women's Leather Goods. Join a leading luxury brand within the Kering Group, offering competitive compensation and a dynamic work environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Inspire enthusiasm for Leather Goods both internally and externally.
- Act as a liaison between regional and global partners in Paris.
- Assist in the development and execution of seasonal buys for Leather Goods.
- Collaborate with the buyer to analyze sales and formulate action plans to enhance category growth.
- Ensure optimal stock levels.
- Assist in monitoring core replenishment stock and sales.
- Closely monitor business performance by store and SKU, implementing initiatives to maximize local business opportunities.
- Compose weekly, seasonal, and ad hoc business recaps.
- Partner with global teams on product feedback, strategic pricing, and market needs.
- Conduct in-store training sessions.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of product, design, and industry trends to inform business decisions.
- Develop strong partnerships with store leaders.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including Marketing, E-commerce, Operations, Visual Merchandising, Public Relations, Supply Chain, and Client Services.
Qualifications
- Passion for the brand and its products.
- Strong appreciation for luxury products.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in retail math, including stock to sales, sell-through, and inventory turn.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness to travel internationally to Paris and locally to US stores.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of buying experience in luxury retail, with a preference for experience in Leather Goods.

Compensation
A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000 with bonus eligibility.
