John Philip Green is the sole founder of Cerulean. He is currently based in Singapore.

His career in job matching spans two decades and three continents. He founded CareGuide, which became the second most-used caregiver matching service in the United States and number one in Canada. Previously, he founded LearnHub, which helped millions of young people, particularly in India, reach their education and career goals. Before that, he led engineering at Affinity Labs, a job board company, which was acquired by Monster Worldwide.

Dear Global Luxury Professionals,

Greetings from tropical Singapore, the affluent city-state where shopping is the national pastime.

Job matching in luxury needs a fresh restart.

Cerulean is here with a more refined approach to career development in the luxury industry, one that reflects the elegance & precision for which our field is known. Why can’t the application & hiring processes in luxury be as graceful as our products & services?

I created Cerulean to meet the highest standards. I am a technologist, a repeat entrepreneur, a fashion enthusiast, and a bona fide job-matching expert.

  • I founded CareGuide, the #2 most-used caregiver matching service in the US, and #1 in Canada. CareGuide helps millions of families & nannies get matched every month.

  • Before that, I founded LearnHub, which helped millions of young people, particularly in India, pursue international education opportunities to launch their careers.

  • And before that, I led the engineering team at the Silicon Valley startup Affinity Labs. It was acquired by Monster Worldwide, which at the time was the largest job board company in the world.

I love fashion and also love to code. (I have an honours degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.) With the kind of care you’d find at a Hermès atelier, I have handcrafted the code for Cerulean’s frontend and underlying systems. I hope you enjoy, as this is my best work. This is bespoke software design & engineering for an industry that deserves it… but has never had it.
