Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the physical security of the facility, including monitoring CCTV, card access, and burglar alarm systems.
  • Conduct physical inspections and tours of the building as required.
  • Monitor building entries to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
  • Document, record, and escort visitors, ensuring all employees are authorized for entry.
  • Operate metal detection processes for high-security areas and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Inspect trash and discarded materials from high-security areas.
  • Respond to building emergencies, including burglar and fire alarm activations and medical emergencies.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Availability for rotational shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of labor and management.

Skills

Proficiency in security systems monitoring. Strong observational skills. Effective communication abilities. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years in a security role, preferably within a distribution center, manufacturing, or corporate environment.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.
