Join Tiffany & Co. in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic as a Payroll Specialist. Seeking candidates with 3+ years of payroll experience and expertise in Dominican labor laws.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute weekly and bi-weekly payroll processes with precision.
  • Upload relevant files into the payroll system and conduct final reviews before processing.
  • Print and validate payroll updates and payment slips.
  • Deliver all necessary payroll documentation to the Finance Department promptly.
  • Collaborate with BPD for the creation of payroll accounts for new hires.
  • Lead and support payroll software transition projects, including planning and logistical coordination.
  • Maintain and update vacation balance records for all plant employees and manage the master vacation database.
  • Generate monthly overtime reports for indirect employees with varying schedules.
  • Develop monthly headcount reports and ensure periodic updates in the SIRLA system (DGT-2, DGT-3, and DGT-4).
  • Process and expedite financial reports related to TSS + INFOTEP invoices to ensure timely payments.
  • File all payroll changes in employee personal files, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Administer line changes in Camsoft as per operational staff needs, as requested by leaders.
  • Oversee the employee exit process in Camsoft.
  • Request and process common illness subsidy reimbursements through Sisalril.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, manage document filing, and prepare audit reports for the Finance Department.
  • Interact with the production area to manage and follow up on vacation planning and enjoyment.
  • Provide support in various Human Resources or organizational activities as required, especially during high-demand periods to ensure operational continuity and efficiency.
  • Lead and execute special projects or additional assignments related to the area of responsibility, ensuring proper implementation in alignment with organizational objectives and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Psychology, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in payroll calculations, including deductions, taxes, and contributions (TSS, AFP, ISR).
  • Solid knowledge of Dominican labor legislation and Free Zone regulations.
  • Advanced handling of payroll systems and Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
  • Experience in reconciliations and financial reporting related to payroll.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork and willingness to collaborate with different areas.

Skills

Intermediate or advanced English proficiency. Certifications in payroll or human resources (optional).

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Psychology, Accounting, or a related field.
