Role & Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships with store managers, store staff, brand partners, buyers, and marketing teams to assess event opportunities and supervise execution.
  • Provide in-store support through regular visits, ensuring planning and execution align with operational excellence and objectives.
  • Analyze event performance and category growth to inform future national event strategies.
  • Collaborate with in-store teams to plan and evaluate events, providing data-driven recommendations and adjustments as needed.
  • Develop a comprehensive regional event roadmap aligned with merchandising strategies, brand campaigns, and regional KPIs.
  • Ensure event inventory is accounted for and prepared in a timely manner, coordinating with store operations teams.
  • Manage strategy and execution for large-scale events and off-site activities, including special visits from founders, influencers, and celebrities.
  • Support store managers in developing business acumen and driving category growth through event-focused programs.
  • Act as a specialist in in-store event tools and platforms, ensuring data accuracy and workflow optimization.
  • Identify emerging category trends and regional market changes to shape innovative strategies and drive long-term program growth.
  • Maintain a strong in-store presence (70-80% of the workweek) to effectively support teams and ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in brand management, store operations, or marketing, preferably in a multi-sector retail environment.
  • Experience supporting or influencing in-store execution across multiple locations is a significant asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills, agility, and resilience in managing ambiguity and achieving results.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with store managers and staff, empowering teams for precise and consistent event execution.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with Microsoft 365 or similar web collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and establish collaborative partnerships.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and innovating through new retail approaches.
  • Deep understanding of in-store team dynamics and retail strategies.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to drive sales and maximize value with limited resources.
  • Ability to travel within the region 70-80% of the time, with a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is required.

Experience

Compensation

Compensation ranges from CAD 87,900 to CAD 98,300, plus bonus and employer-matched RRSP contributions.
