Sephora is hiring a Lead Engineer, Performance Engineering in San Francisco, USA. Join a dynamic team within a leading beauty retailer.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct non-functional requirement gathering and assess software application architecture.
- Formulate and implement a software performance testing strategy.
- Utilize tools such as Adobe Analytics, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana Loki for user behavior analysis.
- Generate test use cases for scripting and create workload models.
- Establish test schedules, identify dependencies, assess risks, and develop mitigation plans.
- Specify performance tools, test data, access requirements, and database volume needs.
- Craft performance test scripts using JMeter and Load Runner.
- Set up monitoring to collect operating system statistics and application metrics.
- Execute various performance tests including baseline, load, stress, volume, and failover tests.
- Monitor application components, servers, and databases during test execution.
- Analyze key performance metrics through monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and AppDynamics.
- Conduct production synthetic load testing using Blazemeter.
- Collaborate with application partners to schedule continuous performance testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Six years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in software testing.

Compensation
$166,900 to $193,300 per year depending on experience.
