Join Sephora in London as a Data Engineer on a 12-month contract. Be part of a dynamic team in a leading beauty brand, focusing on data infrastructure and insights.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architecture.
  • Assemble large, complex datasets to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery for performance and scalability.
  • Support the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from diverse sources using SQL and GCP technologies.
  • Ensure data security and separation across systems and teams.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud query and storage costs.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in SQL, Python, and cloud-based data architecture.
  • Experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, or Airflow.
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, or Looker.
  • Understanding of OLTP and OLAP database structures.

Skills

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong Python skills with experience pulling data from APIs. Excellent SQL query writing skills. Exposure to cloud architecture and SaaS frameworks.

Experience

Experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and cloud technologies is required. Experience with machine learning modeling in Python or R is an added bonus.
