Sephora in Salt Lake City seeks an Asset Protection Investigator for full-time employment. Join a leading luxury beauty retailer and contribute to loss prevention efforts.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Identify and report theft or company policy violations committed by employees to direct supervisors.
  • Observe, apprehend, or deter individuals committing external theft.
  • Review exception and inventory reports to detect dishonest activity within the distribution center.
  • Assist with internal investigations and interviews.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and Sephora policies regarding investigations, apprehensions, and evidence preservation.
  • Conduct physical surveillance on the production floor and through CCTV systems.
  • Testify in court for cases involving the company.
  • Participate in inventory processes and shrink reduction plans.
  • Train warehouse associates in theft prevention and safety protocols.
  • Maintain Loss Prevention awareness and promote available resources.
  • Perform checklists and audits, communicating findings with leadership.
  • Develop professional relationships with warehouse personnel, law enforcement, and other retailers.
  • Serve as a trainer and mentor for new and existing Loss Prevention Agents and Security Guard staff.
  • Review and approve Security Guard staff schedules.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills

Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills. Intermediate computer proficiency. Ability to make quick decisions in stressful situations. Aptitude for de-escalating volatile situations. Capacity to work independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of Loss Prevention experience in a retail environment, with some experience in Supply Chain preferred.

Education

High School graduate or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be located in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake City, USA.

Compensation

Starting base pay is $21.00 - $22.45 per hour, with potential eligibility for shift differential pay.
