Richemont seeks a JAVA Software Engineer in Meyrin, Switzerland. Join a dynamic team to work on innovative projects for luxury Maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Understand business and technical context, requirements, constraints, and business objectives.
  • Perform back-end development within the scope of technical microservices.
  • Develop and conduct unit tests of the product/solution according to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug issues, and maintain the product/solution and corresponding technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the support team to resolve product/solution software issues.
  • Work with the DevOps team to automate the integration of developed products/solutions, including continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Review functional specifications and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Support the Quality Assurance Engineer or Test Manager in defining the test strategy.
  • Recommend changes to improve the product/solution.
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a JAVA Software Engineer.
  • Excellent knowledge of JAVA and associated technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, and Spring Cloud.

Skills

Strong technical background in internet-related technologies, including open source and J2E. Excellent knowledge of web formats and protocols such as JSON, XML, HTTP, SOAP, WSDL, and REST. Experience with microservice/distributed system and event-driven architectures. Proficiency in working with RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and search technologies. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and artifact repository managers. Familiarity with identity and access management tools. Technical knowledge and experience with OIDC flows. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as IntelliJ, Maven, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Jenkins, Groovy, and GitLab. Experience in cloud technologies, tools, and services. Technical knowledge and experience with e-commerce processes and solutions. Familiarity with agile methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a flat and versatile organization and on multinational/multicultural projects. Autonomous, proactive, creative, with a strong aptitude for self-learning. Strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate with highly technical and business teams. Fluency in English; French and other languages are a plus.

Experience

5+ years of experience as a JAVA Software Engineer with a strong technical background in internet-related technologies and microservice architectures.

Education

B.Sc. or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
