Join Parfums Christian Dior in Chiyoda-Ku, Japan as a Skincare Laboratory Manager. Lead innovative skincare product development for the Asian market. Requires 10+ years in cosmetics and fluency in Japanese.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative skincare products for the Asian market, ensuring global scalability.
- Manage and guide a team of 5-6 formulators in product development.
- Present innovation progress to R&D management with technical rationale and secure agreement on next steps.
- Propose and pursue new technology exploration and create superior skincare formulas.
- Collaborate with the Valorization coordinator to communicate technical benefits and competitive edges to R&D and Marketing.
- Analyze competitive activities and identify opportunities for technological and commercial advancement.
- Provide data and prototypes at project decision meetings and manage development schedules with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in press presentations for technology designed for Asian markets.
- Support market, technical, and scientific surveys in skincare.
- Explore novel technologies from suppliers and vendors with the Open Innovation team.
- Provide technical support for global projects to address Asian market needs.
- Monitor new technologies in Asia and provide assessments to management and counterparts.
- Ensure timely feedback on quality issues for continuous improvement in formulation and packaging.
Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree in chemistry, formulation, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the cosmetic industry with expertise in skincare formulation.
- Native-level fluency in Japanese (e.g., JLPT N1 or equivalent).
- Fluent in English.
