Join Parfums Christian Dior in Tokyo as a Research Coordinator for Sensory Research & Cosmetic Expert Evaluation. Leverage your expertise in sensory analysis and product development in a dynamic, luxury environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and operate sensory research sessions with trained Japanese panels, collaborating with the sensory analysis team and labs in France.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute sensory sessions, including panel trainings and group exercises.
  • Analyze and present data obtained from panel sessions, delivering statistical analyses and creating reports for brands.
  • Support innovation projects by providing sensory analysis results to the Japan lab.
  • Evaluate development formulas based on briefs and benchmarks, offering guidance on texture adjustments.
  • Conduct consumer panels and group interviews to assess perceptions towards development formulas.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitors’ products to understand texture trends and analyze sensorial cues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing or product development in FMCG, preferably in the cosmetic industry.
  • Experience in sensory analysis or qualitative and/or quantitative research preferred.
  • Knowledge of product planning, development, and sensorial evaluation preferred.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English.

Skills

Proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Advanced knowledge in sensory data collection and statistical software such as SIMS 2000, XLSTAT, Eye Question, FIZZ, SAS preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills in Japanese and English. Experience in statistical analysis and reporting preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years in marketing or product development within the FMCG sector, with a preference for experience in the cosmetic industry.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required.
