Michael Kors seeks a Junior Buyer (Franchise, maternity cover) in Madrid — temporary role supporting franchise buying, merchandising and partner relations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the buying team by producing weekly selling reports and business analysis to track performance, identify trends and drive profitability for franchise partners.
  • Maintain assortment sheets, update pricing, reconcile orders and manage OTB files.
  • Recommend reorders for bestsellers and propose replacements for cancelled memos based on sales insight.
  • Prepare selling hindsight and assortment opportunity analysis; create visual boards and presentations as required.
  • Organize and support seasonal markets with partners, both virtually and in the MK Showroom in Milan, and present collections to franchise partners.
  • Enter and follow up orders in the system, coordinating with Licensee Partners, Customer Service and merchandising teams.
  • Execute and maintain merchandising guidelines, top investments and partner product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with buying, planning, operations and VM teams to implement partner-specific merchandising strategies.
  • Support marketing campaign preparation and partner visits to strengthen brand presence and market knowledge.
  • Act as a point of contact for assigned franchise partners, ensuring alignment with Michael Kors brand vision and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable interacting with multicultural stakeholders and senior partners.
  • Demonstrable commercial and numerical acumen with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience and ability to operate at pace.
  • Keen fashion sense and up-to-date trend awareness.

Experience

Prior experience in buying, retail planning, merchandising or a commercial role within fashion retail; experience working with franchise or license partners and in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment is preferred.
