Join Louis Vuitton in Paris as a Material Sourcing Specialist - Leather Goods. Seeking experienced professionals with a minimum of 5 years in fashion sourcing. Full-time, on-site role in France.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct material research and sourcing for the creation teams, ensuring rapid solutions that align with stylistic desires.
- Promote re-use, circular creativity, and eco-friendly materials.
- Manage budgets proactively.
- Maintain a constant watch on market innovations and share insights with designers.
- Develop networks through competitor visits, supplier interactions, and specialized trade shows.
- Organize and manage orders and material procurement for product prototyping, ensuring timely delivery.
- Create new materials in the database to ensure smooth operations with the material room and project development.
- Monitor budget adherence, updating orders in PLM.
- Coordinate sourcing activities between Style and Suppliers during the creation phase.
- Build collections in collaboration with material developers and project buyers.
- Ensure alignment of material strategy with project requirements.
- Engage style and marketing stakeholders to ensure collection construction aligns with budget.
- Lead the supplier panel through roadcamp initiatives.
Qualifications
- Higher education degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 5 years in similar roles within the fashion industry, such as ready-to-wear, leather goods, sportswear, lingerie, technical clothing, or accessories.
