Join Louis Vuitton in Tokyo as an International Transportation & Trade Compliance Manager. Lead import/export operations and ensure trade compliance within Japan.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and innovate import/export operations, ensuring excellence and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement through strategic management of KPIs and budget.
- Challenge duty optimization and supervise daily/monthly operations.
- Validate KPIs such as lead-time, error ratio, efficiency, and security, conducting monthly reviews.
- Facilitate weekly meetings and negotiate with suppliers for urgent operations.
- Coordinate with other departments for special events and optimize zone transfer shipments.
- Develop and manage the company's trade compliance program, ensuring adherence to international trade laws.
- Conduct audits and provide training on trade compliance requirements.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations and update company policies accordingly.
- Collaborate with customs brokers and freight forwarders for compliant trade operations.
- Manage cost analysis, reporting, and budget for transportation costs.
- Monitor incoming cargo activities for events and manage headquarters-led projects.
- Ensure accurate billing, invoice management, and fast closing.
- Maintain high staff motivation and foster an engaging work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in international transportation and trade compliance.
