Kate Spade in New York is hiring a Sales Associate to deliver luxury customer service and drive retail sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional, personalized service to clients, proactively identifying needs and building long-term relationships through clienteling and follow-up.
  • Drive sales and meet individual and store KPIs by converting traffic, increasing average transaction value and maximizing add-on sales.
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge across categories and translate brand heritage and storytelling into the customer experience.
  • Execute visual merchandising standards, ensure merchandise is presented to brand guidelines and maintain a polished sales floor.
  • Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, handle cash and complete daily reconciliation when required.
  • Support stock management activities including receiving, replenishment, inventory counts and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Collaborate with the store team to achieve operational tasks, including opening/closing duties and shift handovers.
  • Participate in brand initiatives, trainings and promotional events to drive store traffic and client acquisition.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated customer service excellence with a polished, professional demeanor.
  • Availability to work flexible retail hours including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and sustain client relationships.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high visual and operational standards.
  • Authorization to work in the United States (if applicable) and ability to travel between stores when required.

Experience

Typically 1–2 years of retail sales experience; prior experience with a luxury or premium fashion brand is strongly preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in fashion, retail or business is advantageous but not required.
