Kate Spade in New York seeks a Full Time Sales Assistant to deliver luxury client service and drive in-store sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised service to clients, cultivating long-term relationships and repeat business through proactive clienteling.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through consultative selling and effective upselling/cross-selling.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, card processing and returns/exchanges.
- Maintain visual merchandising and shop-floor standards, ensuring product presentation reflects brand guidelines.
- Support inventory management: receive shipments, replenish stock, conduct cycle counts and assist with stock transfers.
- Adhere to loss-prevention protocols and maintain a secure, compliant retail environment.
- Contribute to store housekeeping, dressing room management and daily opening/closing procedures.
- Collaborate with the store team on events, product launches and promotional activities to enhance store performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary studies in fashion, retail or related field preferred.
- Previous retail experience, preferably 1–2 years in luxury or premium fashion/accessories.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and delivering superior customer service.
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holiday trading periods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with polished presentation.
- Right to work in the United States (if employed in the U.S.) and ability to work on-site.

Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of frontline retail experience, ideally within luxury fashion or accessories, demonstrating consistent sales performance and client relationship management.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or diploma in fashion, retail or hospitality is advantageous.
