Join Gucci in Novara, Italy, as a Senior Knitwear Programmer. Utilize Shima Seiki expertise in a dynamic team environment within the luxury fashion industry.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design knitwear panels and garments using specialized software, selecting appropriate machinery for yarn types and knitting techniques such as stitches, jacquard, and intarsia.
- Develop initial garment programs using Shima Seiki software in collaboration with the lead knitter.
- Create size grading programs essential for the production phase.
- Resolve programming issues to prevent setup problems in knitting machines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in knitwear programming.
- In-depth knowledge of Shima Seiki machine programming software.
- Excellent understanding of yarns.
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing design schematics.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work towards objectives within tight deadlines.
- Proactive and initiative-driven.
- Flexibility and availability.
- Teamwork orientation.
- Fluent in Italian.
Skills
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of experience in knitwear programming is required, with a strong emphasis on Shima Seiki software expertise.
