Join Gucci in New York as the Director of HR Cost Control, overseeing financial accuracy and strategic workforce planning in a dynamic luxury fashion environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the HR cost budget for Retail and Corporate departments.
  • Prepare the detailed annual HR cost budget and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist in managing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate reflection of FTE data, including headcount, salaries, and benefits, in financial records.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly reports on FTE headcount and costs, analyzing variances against budget/forecast.
  • Track and report on current FTE headcount across departments, aligning staffing levels with operational needs.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of labor costs, including fixed and variable staffing costs.
  • Collaborate with HR to track new hires, terminations, and internal transfers, maintaining accurate FTE records.
  • Provide financial analysis for special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Manage one direct report, providing guidance and overseeing their work.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial analysis and monthly closes.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Experience with ad hoc reporting and ERP systems, ideally Oracle-based.

Strong organizational skills. Detail-oriented with solid communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and take initiative. Flexible, adaptable, and reliable. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience

5-7 years of relevant experience, particularly with financial analysis and monthly closes.

Education

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $120,000 to $135,000.
