Legal Manager position available at Groupe Les Echos Le Parisien in Paris, France. Seeking an experienced legal professional with expertise in contract negotiation and business law.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze, review, and negotiate diverse contracts and commitments in both French and English, including commercial, IT, integration, maintenance, technical assistance, intellectual property, rights transfer, industrial contracts, tenders, confidentiality agreements, and content syndication.
- Negotiate autonomously with industry and IT leaders and other service providers involved in the transformation of Le Parisien.
- Manage litigation or pre-litigation related to press content publication, including privacy, defamation, and presumption of innocence issues.
- Handle commercial and industrial litigation or pre-litigation.
- Coordinate with the Data Protection team on personal data issues related to IT projects, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Actively participate in the Ethics and Compliance unit.
- Conduct legislative and regulatory monitoring and participate in the public affairs unit alongside the group's Presidency.
- Analyze contexts, draft language elements, and prepare summary notes on legislative, regulatory, and structural dossiers for the group.
Qualifications
- Holder of CAPA with a Master's degree (Master 2) in Business Law and/or Contract Law, Communication Law, or a dual curriculum (Science Po).
- Fluency in written and spoken English and proficiency in common office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Advanced skills in contract negotiation and drafting, with the ability to develop effective negotiation strategies.
Skills
Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is required.
Education
Master's degree in Business Law, Contract Law, or Communication Law.

The successful candidate will be located in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
