Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative designs consistent with the briefs set by the commercial team and Artistic Director.
  • Conduct market research to understand the Christian Dior Men customer and brand positioning, including visits to Dior and competitor stores.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to determine style, materials, and color, ensuring the development of successful products.
  • Adhere to design calendar timelines, ensuring all design boards meet deadlines set by the Design Director and Head of Leather Goods.
  • Work closely with other design team members to create a cohesive collection that complements the runway show.
  • Research and apply current trends to product design.
  • Source materials and components for feedback and inspiration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and make suggestions.

Qualifications

  • Graduate with a degree in The Arts, Fashion, Leather Goods, or Product Design.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing leather goods for a luxury fashion or high-end company.

Skills

Strong sense of color, fashion, product, and trend. Knowledge of design and product development processes, especially in leather goods. Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Fluent in English; proficiency in French and Italian is advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organized with strong time management abilities. Collaborative nature with a good team spirit.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years in designing leather goods for a luxury fashion or high-end company, ideally with experience in managing large collections.

Education

Degree in The Arts, Fashion, Leather Goods, or Product Design.

Workplace

The successful candidate will be located in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
