Join Christian Dior Couture in London as a Department Manager for Shoes at Selfridges. Seeking experienced retail managers with a passion for luxury fashion.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the department's sales performance and uphold service standards.
  • Maximize sales and minimize resource wastage through effective use of space and stock.
  • Ensure merchandise is displayed effectively using promotional materials.
  • Lead client recruitment and foster client loyalty through CRM activities.
  • Achieve department capture rate and mystery shopper targets.
  • Handle customer situations with professionalism.
  • Monitor competitor activity and communicate insights to the team.
  • Maintain full knowledge of back office functions and department analysis.
  • Ensure correct basic stock levels and timely replenishment of popular items.
  • Control stock loss within budget and conduct effective stock audits.
  • Adhere to company security procedures and report suspected shoplifters.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, evaluation, and development of staff.
  • Manage employee performance appraisals and identify development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively to develop a stable team and succession plan.
  • Conduct morning briefings and motivate the team to achieve objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies for staff and customers.

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience in retail, ideally within luxury goods.
  • Expertise in shoes and fashion trends.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Skills

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Outstanding customer service and commercial creativity. Strong initiative and fashion sensitivity. Fluency in a second language (preferred).

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in retail management, preferably within the luxury sector, with a focus on shoes.
