Chopard seeks a Methods Manager in Fleurier, Switzerland, to coordinate departmental resources and ensure operational excellence in alignment with company strategy.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the department using necessary resources in alignment with the company's strategy, assuming responsibility for costs, quality, and deadlines.
  • Engage sustainably in the pursuit of operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with current standards and guidelines.
  • Oversee the safety, health, and security of employees and adherence to regulations.
  • Collaborate with the technical office and production teams to participate in the industrialization of new products, including validation of manufacturing processes, review of technical plans, and development of operational ranges for new products.
  • Manage technical data ranges in the Oracle ERP system.
  • Handle technical data in the workshop through method instructions, phase plans, and control plans.
  • Standardize and document manufacturing processes.
  • Manage and ensure the supply of tooling and consumables.
  • Create and maintain machining programs.
  • Organize and manage projects and the department according to Lean Manufacturing processes.
  • Integrate new manufacturing means in collaboration with relevant production departments.
  • Participate in the review and improvement of existing process ranges, optimizing quality, costs, and cycle times.
  • Analyze technical and quality issues with support departments, implement action plans, and monitor corrective actions.
  • Conduct technological and industrial watch.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree from ET/EPFL in micromechanics
  • 10 years of experience in a similar position
  • Watchmaking training is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and experience in management
  • Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

Experience

10 years of experience in a similar position, preferably with watchmaking training.

Education
