Burberry Limited seeks a Lead Tax Accountant in London or Leeds to manage global tax compliance. Ideal for qualified accountants with international experience. Join a leading luxury brand committed to sustainability and innovation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare tax provisions, tax returns, and manage overall tax compliance processes, including year-end and interim disclosures.
- Monitor the Group’s outsourced global corporation tax return compliance cycle.
- Review tax instalments for overseas group entities, ensuring timely tax payments in collaboration with outsourcing partners and Finance teams.
- Support the Tax Manager with UK tax returns, including RDEC and capital allowances projects.
- Provide technical assistance to Finance teams for tax disclosures in local statutory accounts and support local audit activities.
- Collaborate with Commercial Finance teams for year-end and interim tax provisions and review all Group tax submissions.
- Prepare CBCR calculations and coordinate with international teams for local CBCR filings.
- Support analysis, modeling, and preparation for Pillar 2 compliance.
- Prepare total tax contribution disclosures and complete TTC questionnaires.
- Partner with transfer pricing colleagues to ensure accurate pricing of intercompany transactions in statutory accounts and tax returns.
- Identify opportunities to standardize and enhance tax return preparation using tax technology tools.
- Assist with explanations for external auditors regarding tax provisions.
- Provide support to the wider tax team on group projects as required.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or tax advisor (CTA).
- Experience in accountancy and tax compliance, preferably with an international or cross-border focus.
