Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, prioritization, and implementation of local and worldwide training initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Maintain the brand's image and ensure the highest level of client experience and sales performance.
  • Cultivate a culture of learning through engaging training sessions, onboarding, and community building.
  • Ensure retail staff possess a deep understanding of company heritage and product knowledge to achieve service excellence.
  • Develop instructional materials and manuals in accordance with global and local training guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and coaching on training methodologies to ensure effective learning.
  • Collaborate with the global training department to ensure consistency while accommodating local cultural differences.
  • Coordinate in-store inductions for new retail employees following global guidelines.
  • Organize and deliver immersion programs for new hires within 90 days of employment.
  • Conduct specialist and expert training for advanced retail employees in areas such as shoes and ready-to-wear.
  • Lead the organization of the annual training calendar for the AMER region.
  • Partner with regional trainers and global counterparts to prepare teaching plans and build annual training programs.
  • Travel across the AMER region to ensure consistent training delivery.
  • Adapt training to different participant levels by identifying strengths and weaknesses.
  • Handle challenging situations with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Assess training effectiveness and evaluate ongoing programs for local relevance.
  • Lead the mystery shopping process and follow up on service evaluations and improvements.
  • Act as a strategic partner with business leaders to align training projects with performance improvement strategies.
  • Inspire and align business leaders around training initiatives to drive engagement and strategic impact.
  • Provide feedback to the global training department to enhance the learning offer.
  • Monitor the usage of e-learning tools within the region.
  • Stay informed about new trends and tools in employee development and competitor activities.
  • Ensure training operations remain within budget.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in a management or retail training role within the luxury retail industry or a training consultancy firm.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Office and Windows, and knowledge of learning management software.
  • In-depth understanding of luxury retail, client experience, and selling skills.
  • Knowledge of competitors and general fashion industry insights.
  • Excellent understanding of coaching and adult learning principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate flexibility, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to plan annual training and multitask.
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and product knowledge skills.
  • Familiarity with talent management and succession planning.

Experience

Compensation

Salary range of $130,000 - $150,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus.
