Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day revenue accounting for diverse revenue streams, ensuring compliance with ASC 606.
  • Review and approve revenue accrual and adjustment entries to maintain revenue recognition integrity.
  • Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including monthly A/R balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with insurance partners for A/R insurance portfolio management.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to analyze and provide insights on insurance coverage for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls over the revenue cycle in partnership with the Internal Controls Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on revenue accounting and accounts receivable.
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP, specifically ASC 606.

Skills

Strong knowledge of the full revenue cycle process from order entry to cash collection. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills. Proficient in managing insurance portfolios and liaising with external partners. Ability to develop and implement internal controls.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years in accounting with significant focus on revenue accounting and accounts receivable, including leadership experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position in California is $100,000 - $130,000 annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus.
