Role & Responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger.
  • Reconcile ledger balances and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and annual closings (Dutch GAAP).
  • Handle tax filings, including corporate tax, VAT, and payroll taxes.
  • Prepare periodic payment batches for authorization by the management.
  • Administer and manage the capex portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external compliance matters, including audits and tax filings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Proven experience and expertise in a Senior Accountant role.
  • Experience within a retail organization is preferred.

Skills

Accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining a focus on broader objectives. Strong communication skills. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently. Proactive and self-initiating. Proficiency in IT systems such as SAP, SAP BW, and Office 365, with advanced Excel skills. Excellent command of Dutch and good command of English, both spoken and written.

Experience

Demonstrable experience in a Senior Accountant position, preferably within the retail sector.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.

The successful candidate will be located in Eindhoven, North Brabant, Netherlands.

Compensation

Competitive compensation package including 26 vacation days based on full-time employment and excellent pension scheme.
