Role & Responsibilities

  • Identify and report theft or company policy violations committed by employees to direct supervisor.
  • Observe and apprehend or deter individuals committing external theft.
  • Review exception reports and inventory reporting to detect dishonest activity.
  • Assist with internal investigations and interviews.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company policies concerning investigations, apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
  • Conduct physical surveillance on the production floor and through CCTV systems.
  • Testify in court regarding cases involving the company.
  • Participate in inventory processes and shrink reduction plans.
  • Train warehouse associates individually and in group settings.
  • Promote Loss Prevention awareness and available resources.
  • Perform checklists and audits, communicating findings with leadership.
  • Complete all Sephora Loss Prevention training requirements.
  • Develop professional relationships with warehouse personnel, Loss Prevention staff, guard staff, local law enforcement, and other retailers.
  • Serve as a trainer and mentor for new and existing Agents and Security Guard staff.
  • Review and approve Security Guard staff schedules.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of Loss Prevention experience in a retail environment, with some experience in Supply Chain preferred.

Skills

Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills. Intermediate computer skills. Ability to make quick decisions in potentially stressful situations. Aptitude for de-escalating volatile situations. Capacity to work independently without direct supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of Loss Prevention experience in a retail environment, preferably with some experience in Supply Chain.

Education

High School graduate or equivalent.

Workplace

This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

Compensation

Starting base pay is $21.00 - $22.45/hr. Certain work schedules may also be eligible for shift differential pay.
