Richemont is hiring an Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis in Coral Gables, FL. This role supports Cartier South America's financial activities, requiring 10-15 years of FP&A experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead all finance activities for Cartier South America, including Latin American countries, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Brazil.
  • Support business development and drive financial performance while ensuring compliance and strong internal controls.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Cartier SA President and CEO, collaborating with brand teams and regional functional teams.
  • Drive the monthly close process, ensuring accurate financial results and analyzing trends.
  • Create sales analysis to monitor evolution and understand key drivers.
  • Conduct balance sheet reviews, budgeting, and forecasting, particularly regarding customer deposits, liabilities, and inventory.
  • Provide timely variance analysis to business partners, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and distribute month-end reporting to brand management with insightful commentary.
  • Work closely with brand personnel to drive rolling forecasts, latest estimates, and annual budget processes.
  • Monitor headcount and collaborate with HR to control personnel costs.
  • Manage and consolidate financial statements for Latin America, Mexico, and Brazil.
  • Support business development activities and control fixed costs to optimize profit and cash flow.
  • Monitor A&P in collaboration with Marcom Directors, driving cost control and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare capital approval requests, including detailed P&Ls and supporting commentary.
  • Track CAPEX spending by project versus budget, collaborating with brand teams for transparency.
  • Ensure successful implementation of key strategies defined by ExCo for Cartier South America.
  • Lead the annual Market Action Plan process from concept to implementation.
  • Ensure strategic priorities are met and objectives and KPIs are clearly defined.
  • Provide operational support and drive a strong internal control environment.
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the broader finance team.
  • Align with the North America team on financial strategies and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 10 to 15 years of FP&A experience, preferably in a large, multinational, publicly-traded company.
  • Experience in the luxury and/or retail sector is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Portuguese is beneficial.

Skills

Deep understanding of finance and accounting principles. Strong business acumen and sound judgment. Proficiency in leveraging technology and digital tools for financial process optimization. Experience with SAP and Anaplan is advantageous. Extensive knowledge of MS-Excel, Analysis, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI, Looker, and SAP Analytics Cloud is helpful. Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative information. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work with diverse audiences in a matrixed organization. Entrepreneurial spirit, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Detail-oriented with strong time management skills. Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Experience

10 to 15 years of financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in a large, multinational, publicly-traded company.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

The successful candidate will be located in Coral Gables, Florida, USA, with easy access to Miami.
