Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical reference for polishing and smoothing within the workshop.
  • Perform manual smoothing and polishing operations on dials using bobino, handling 1 to 4 dials simultaneously.
  • Conduct avivage operations for decal or lacquer applications.
  • Execute flat polishing operations for lacquered products.
  • Ensure optimal aesthetic results in accordance with quality standards.
  • Adjust and fine-tune machinery and equipment to ensure consistent and compliant application.
  • Identify and rectify application defects such as surface condition and flatness.
  • Implement and monitor sustainable corrective actions in collaboration with production and quality teams.
  • Contribute to process optimization and the industrialization of new products.
  • Train and support team members to enhance their skills.
  • Explain and enforce internal job instructions and standards.
  • Promote a positive work environment by encouraging communication and cooperation among teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Raise awareness of best practices and contribute to accident prevention.
  • Supervise candidate trials during recruitment processes.

Qualifications

  • Technical training in polishing or finishing (AFP, CFC, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in dial manufacturing (minimum 6 to 8 years).
  • Mastery of manual polishing and smoothing operations, as well as flat polishing techniques.
  • Excellent visual acuity and dexterity.
  • Experience with various materials: brass, mild steel, silver.
  • Technical expertise in adjusting, analyzing, and correcting quality defects.
  • Ability to structure and impart technical knowledge pedagogically.
  • Natural leadership to guide, mentor, and motivate teams.
  • Meticulousness, analytical skills, and problem-solving capability.
  • Team spirit and communication skills to foster a positive work environment and effective collaboration.
  • Organizational skills and autonomy in managing daily priorities and tasks.
  • Strong commitment to the adherence and application of safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • First aid training is a plus.

Experience
