Role & Responsibilities

  • Verify invoices through 3-way matching and ensure accurate posting of accounts payable.
  • Check and post various expenses including general, marketing, and travel expenses.
  • Register and maintain vendor information.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and prepare payment proposals within deadlines.
  • Post journal entries for prepaid expenses and cost reclassification, and support financial statement preparation.
  • Assist in preparing audit and tax return working files, including corporate tax and consumption tax reports.
  • Support internal and external audit processes and assist in tax audits as necessary.
  • Maintain internal intranet knowledge with stakeholders and assist in ad-hoc finance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Skills

Basic accounting knowledge with emphasis on 3-way matching. Intermediate computer skills, particularly in MS Office. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adhere to deadlines. Experience with SAP is advantageous. Fluent in Japanese and basic proficiency in English for communication with superiors and overseas vendors.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in finance or accounting within a corporate environment is required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
