Join LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics in Saint-Jean-de-Braye, France, as an In Vivo Efficacy Laboratory Manager. Lead product performance management and innovation in luxury beauty.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the performance management of makeup products from conception to evaluation.
  • Oversee the evaluation of SPF products across all categories.
  • Collaborate with experts to select performance technologies.
  • Define and present test plans to support product claims and registration.
  • Identify and partner with suitable Contract Research Organizations (CROs) for necessary testing.
  • Organize and manage testing processes with CROs and ensure timely report delivery.
  • Recommend screening tests to ensure product performance during development.
  • Establish and manage the annual budget for the makeup category.
  • Maintain comprehensive bibliographies to support innovative test plans.
  • Lead a team dedicated to managing the performance of makeup products.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in cosmetics or a scientific field, with a specialization in skin biology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in a cosmetic CRO or with a brand.

Skills

Expertise in skin biology and technical knowledge of instrumental and clinical tests. Proficiency in photobiology and SPF knowledge. Understanding of makeup products and regulatory requirements. Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Strong leadership, organizational, and innovative thinking skills. Product sensitivity, communication skills, and teamwork orientation.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years in a cosmetic Contract Research Organization or with a brand, demonstrating expertise in skin biology and product performance evaluation.

Education

Master's or Doctorate in cosmetics or a scientific discipline with a focus on skin biology.

This position is based in Saint-Jean-de-Braye, Centre-Val de Loire, France, within easy reach of Paris.
