Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive the Handbags and Accessories business by optimizing sales and productivity, monitoring replenishment, and collaborating with the Central Merchandising team on stock requirements.
  • Develop and communicate strategic plans for Handbags, Small Leather Goods, Belts, and Soft Accessories in the Americas.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to maximize Sale-to-Stock levels across all boutiques.
  • Provide end-of-season recaps, prepare for market, and compile store feedback and needs.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, including pricing, distribution, and key launches, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze pricing strategies in conjunction with headquarters, considering price differentials and competitor benchmarks.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams, including Merchandising HQ, Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain, Retail, Marketing, and Wholesale.
  • Travel to Paris four times a year for buying sessions and to Madrid annually for Central meetings, with bi-monthly domestic travel to visit the store network.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a Merchandising capacity, with at least 5 years in Leather Goods.
  • Demonstrated history of brand loyalty and tenure.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to implement solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic and multitasking ability.
  • In-depth knowledge of the North American luxury fashion market and trends.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Microstrategy and CEGID is advantageous.
  • Strong sense of luxury and fashion.

Experience

A minimum of 8 years in merchandising, with at least 5 years focused on leather goods, is required.

Compensation

The base salary ranges from $105,000 to $125,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience.
