Join Kering in Wayne, NJ as a Trade Compliance Specialist. Ensure compliance with US and Canadian import/export regulations in a dynamic luxury fashion environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and stay informed about the latest trade regulations, customs laws, and import/export requirements in the US and Canada.
  • Ensure all company activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
  • Interface with government agencies such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
  • Facilitate communication and compliance with trade-related agencies, including FDA and EPA.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to trade compliance and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and enhance compliance procedures.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure adherence to trade compliance policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on trade compliance matters.
  • Analyze data to draw strategic conclusions for corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in trade compliance, with a focus on the US and Canada
  • Customs Broker’s License

Skills

In-depth knowledge of US and Canadian import/export regulations Strong understanding of customs procedures and documentation requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with trade management software and systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages

Experience

A minimum of 3-5 years in trade compliance, preferably with a focus on both the US and Canada.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field.

Workplace

The successful candidate will be located in Wayne, New Jersey, USA, with easy access to New York City.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
