Join Christian Dior Couture in Florence, Italy as an Industrialization Raw Material Manager. Lead the strategic integration of raw materials in a dynamic luxury fashion environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic integration of raw materials from design concept to mass production, ensuring alignment with aesthetic, performance, cost, and sustainability goals.
- Bridge design, sourcing, technical, and manufacturing teams to ensure materials meet brand standards and operational excellence.
- Support the Sourcing team in defining material landscapes and onboarding suppliers.
- Collaborate with Design to translate creative visions into viable materials.
- Partner with Pattern Making and Production to guarantee manufacturability and streamline production processes.
- Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes and ensuring quality.
- Conduct material feasibility assessments to identify challenges and opportunities early in design reviews.
- Support the adoption of innovative, sustainable materials aligned with evolving design trends and brand values.
- Lead the material selection process, balancing creative aspirations with practical considerations.
- Contribute to onboarding processes for high-quality suppliers who meet sustainability, ethics, and innovation standards.
- Identify and resolve material-related issues during prototyping and production phases.
- Develop and implement standardized processes for material industrialization to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Textile/Leathergoods Technology, or Materials Science (Master's preferred).
- 7-10 years' experience in the fashion, apparel, or luxury goods industry.
- Expert knowledge of raw material properties, manufacturing processes, and industrialization techniques.
Skills
Experience
A minimum of 10 years in the fashion, apparel, or luxury goods industry, with a focus on raw materials and industrialization processes.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Textile/Leathergoods Technology, or Materials Science (Master's preferred).
Workplace
The role is situated in Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
