La Grande Épicerie de Paris — Reception Host (part-time, 10h/week) in Paris. Permanent contract; Monday and Saturday 15:30–20:30.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and identify customer needs, provide information, advice and orientation to visitors entering the store.
- Handle telephone reception, direct calls to appropriate interlocutors and take messages when required.
- Operate the reception desk services, including packaging, bagging and broadcasting informational messages.
- Perform cash desk operations: open/close tills, process routine transactions, verify payment validity and report daily takings to the head cashier.
- Manage administrative reception tasks: receive mail and parcels, handle lost & found, issue customer invoices and log customer complaints.
- Provide immediate assistance to clients and staff in case of bodily injury or material incidents and escalate disputes to the manager when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and manage stationery and equipment stock for the desk.

- Excellent customer service orientation with strong interpersonal skills.
- High level of organisation, rigor and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
- Proactive attitude with demonstrated initiative and sound judgement; ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Team-oriented mindset with capacity for clear, professional communication.

Entry-level. No prior professional experience required; candidates may be beginners and will receive on-the-job training in reception and cashiering procedures.
Education
High-school diploma (Baccalauréat) or equivalent preferred.
