Yves Saint Laurent Leather Industrialization Specialist
Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent pioneered the luxury prêt-à-porter movement with the introduction of the 'Rive Gauche' line in 1966, symbolizing youth and freedom. Acquired by Kering's luxury division in 1999, the brand continues to lead the luxury fashion industry under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016. Saint Laurent offers a comprehensive range of luxury products, including women's and men's ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties, and eyewear.
- Oversee the industrialization phase of leather production, collaborating with external production entities to ensure aesthetic and quality standards are met.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in new materials, proposing enhancements to improve quality.
- Evaluate production timelines, costs, and feasibility of leather goods.
- Anticipate production challenges and develop solutions in collaboration with departments such as Planning, Production Advancement, and Product Development.
- Regularly create and share reports on activity progress.
- Collect and disseminate technical data to the production and quality departments.
- Manage technical specifications related to the physical and mechanical performance of leathers.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in industrialization within luxury leather goods companies or direct suppliers.
- A decade of experience in the leather goods industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong command of English and/or French.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and team collaboration capabilities.
- Willingness to travel.
A minimum of 5 years in a similar industrialization role within the luxury leather goods sector, with a total of 10 years in the leather goods industry.
