Role & Responsibilities
- Document and enrich metadata in the company data catalog: describe datasets, tables, fields and KPIs to improve discoverability and reuse.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product managers to ensure metadata accuracy and alignment with governance standards.
- Design and implement data quality testing strategies, including automated tests to detect anomalies, schema drift, missing data and inconsistencies.
- Deploy and maintain preventive monitoring practices to reduce incidents and improve platform stability.
- Support incident management workflows by tracking, documenting and facilitating resolution of incidents affecting pipelines or dashboards.
- Contribute to feedback loops and post‑incident documentation to prevent recurrence and improve operational processes.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program (Engineering or Business school) and seeking a 6‑month internship.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python with practical experience from coursework or projects.
- Interest in data governance, data quality and operational reliability for analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud data environments — ideally Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive work style and intellectual curiosity.
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
Skills
Experience
Academic or project experience working with SQL and Python in data contexts; prior exposure to data governance, data quality testing, or cloud data platforms is preferred. Experience collaborating with engineers and product managers in cross‑functional teams is advantageous.
Education
Master's degree student in Engineering or Business school (required).
