- Define and oversee the enterprise data architecture for the platforms.
- Lead the data architecture practice and represent Data Engineering at the enterprise level.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert in the data ecosystem, particularly in GCP, providing strategic input into architecture, platforms, and development methodologies.
- Mentor and coach engineering and platform teams, ensuring adherence to standards through design and code reviews.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to define and implement enterprise data management architecture, enhancing engineering efficiency.
- Direct the strategy and implementation for migrating existing data warehouse platforms to GCP.
- Guide the technical direction of the team, collaborating with Architecture, Platform, DevOps, Security, and Project teams.
- Lead the transition towards DevOps processes for Data & Analytics, emphasizing continuous integration and automated testing.
- Drive the data platform technical roadmap, prioritizing and developing new features to serve business teams.
- Interface with key business functions and IT Business Analysis teams to translate business requirements into data and integration needs.
- Manage technical resources from consulting partners, ensuring adherence to architecture standards and best practices.
- Establish Agile principles and processes for project execution.
- Manage relationships with external vendors to assess technical competence and identify integration opportunities.
- Provide hands-on leadership for the end-to-end delivery of GCP platforms and capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years in the Data & Analytics field.
- At least 3 years of experience in GCP-specific architecture, development, or support roles.
- Experience leading offshore teams in a Data & Analytics environment.
- Proven track record in building data integration solutions in GCP with BigQuery.
- Experience in designing and building data storage capabilities such as data warehouses or data lakes.
- Understanding of large-scale computing solutions and database architectures.
- Knowledge of GCP cloud security, orchestration, and data management.
- Fluency in English; fluency in French is a plus.
- Expertise in GCP services and tools for data engineering and data warehousing.
- Strong understanding of modern Data Warehouse concepts and ELT methodology.
- Proficiency in DevOps and Agile methodologies, with experience in Jira, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and execution skills.
- Ability to lead and deliver technology solutions in GCP.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with various data ingestion techniques.
- Experience with no-SQL, relational and non-relational platforms, and multiple file formats.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Data & Analytics field, with significant experience in GCP architecture and data integration solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
