- Serve as a key legal advisor on employment law and employee relations matters.
- Provide strategic legal advice to Human Resources on compliance, recruiting, hiring, and employee management.
- Draft and implement workplace policies in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Design and manage workplace investigations and litigation hold processes.
- Evaluate and communicate legal risks associated with complaints and legal matters.
- Manage outside counsel on employment-related lawsuits and government proceedings.
- Draft position statements and represent the company in litigations and before administrative agencies.
- Negotiate and draft settlement agreements concerning employment-related matters.
- Develop training materials and provide training on employment law issues.
- Monitor employment-related legislation to ensure compliance.
- JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive in.
- At least seven years of related experience, including law firm or in-house experience.
- Broad knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and executive presence.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
At least seven years of related experience, including law firm and/or in-house experience, with a focus on employment law.
Base pay range $145,000.00 to $217,000.00 annually.
Hybrid work setup with a requirement to be in-office 3 days per week, subject to change with company policy.
