- Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards, explores, and data models to address the dynamic needs of the business.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance through the development and maintenance of Looker data models.
- Craft efficient and well-documented LookML code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Looker dashboards and explores.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the Looker platform and processes.
- Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks in Looker.
- Stay abreast of the latest Looker features and best practices.
- Manage code using Git version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Looker, including designing and developing dashboards and explores.
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into effective data visualizations.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
- Experience with BigQuery and dbt is a plus.
- Experience with Git version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Extensive experience in LookML development, including creating custom visualizations and calculations.
- Deep understanding of Looker's data modeling capabilities, including joins, aggregations, and calculated fields.
- Experience with Looker's security and access control features.
- Proficiency in using Looker's explore functionality for ad-hoc data analysis.
- Experience with Looker's scheduling and alerting features.
- Experience optimizing Looker dashboards and explores for performance.
- Experience with Looker's API and integrations with other tools.
A minimum of three years of hands-on experience with Looker, focusing on the design and development of dashboards and explores.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
