Piaget Jewellery Apprentice (Jeweller/Goldsmith)

- Undertake a recognised Swiss CFC apprenticeship in jewellery-making under the supervision of master jewellers.
- Learn and practise bench skills: sawing, filing, soldering, forming, polishing and finishing of precious metals.
- Train in stone‑setting techniques, assembly, micro‑soldering and quality control to meet haute‑joaillerie standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and production specifications; prepare and maintain workpieces and tooling.
- Maintain workshop order and follow strict safety, cleanliness and jewellery‑handling protocols.
- Participate in restoration and repair operations as skills progress; document work according to atelier procedures.
- Completion of compulsory schooling or equivalent; eligibility to enrol in a Swiss CFC apprenticeship programme.
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience for fine, repetitive work.
- Demonstrable interest in jewellery, metalwork or related crafts; practical hobby experience is advantageous.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to a multi‑year vocational training pathway.
- Basic numeracy and the ability to read simple technical drawings; willingness to learn workplace French is recommended.
- Fine manual dexterity and hand‑tool proficiency (saws, files, pliers, gravers)
- Soldering and micro‑soldering techniques
- Stone setting and bezel/clip setting basics
- Polishing and surface finishing
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications
- Use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometre) and loupe/microscope inspection
No prior professional experience required; prior hands‑on experience in metalwork, jewellery hobby projects or technical crafts is an advantage.
Completed compulsory education; eligible for enrolment in a Swiss CFC (certificate of federal vocational education and training) apprenticeship programme.
