Fashion Group Finance Director

- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Lead budgeting processes and monitor financial performance to optimize resource allocation.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring robust internal controls.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development and high performance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and optimize tax planning strategies.
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools.
- Coordinate finance IT systems with Fendi HQ and local IT operations.
- Elaborate a multi-year finance transformation roadmap for the Fashion Group.
- Launch initiatives to improve financial operations' performance and accuracy.
- Collaborate on ERP implementation and support other Maisons' financial operations.
- Liaise with FP&A of other Maisons to create and animate the Finance community.
- Manage ad hoc projects as directed by Fashion Group CFO and COO.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within the retail or luxury industry.
- Fluency in English and professional working proficiency in Japanese.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and ability to drive change.
- Leadership and team development skills.
- In-depth understanding of Japanese financial regulations and tax laws.
- Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) is a plus.
