- Manage and organize the merchandising planning during official forecast periods and prior to seasonal buys.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising Team to identify growth opportunities and address business challenges, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Provide analytical support and research to aid in the creation of store and department plans, working closely with Retail, Merchandising, and Finance teams.
- Partner with the General Merchandise Manager to communicate plan changes and revisions to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
- Develop and oversee markdown strategies in collaboration with local and global finance teams to meet gross margin objectives.
- Consistently communicate with Worldwide Italy Offices regarding all planning components related to the Merchandise Plan.
- Provide analysis and create quarterly reports for the Merchandising Team, as well as weekly business recaps.
- Create selling reports and historical recaps to analyze and communicate business performance.
- Analyze current trends and revise in-season plans for sales and profitability based on actual sales performance.
- Oversee the replenishment business, managing sales projections, assortment mix, and inventory flow in collaboration with the Buying Team.
- Analyze selling by model, fabric, color, and size for the replenishment program to provide feedback to the Worldwide team.
- Monitor weekly store inventory for the replenishment business to ensure stock-to-sales ratios are maximized and global MOS targets are achieved.
- Coordinate product for new store openings related to replenishment styles.
- Provide periodic reporting on business performance and present recommendations to the Merchandising Team.
- Develop, maintain, and update tools and reports to respond to business needs.
- 2-3 years of experience in planning or allocation roles.
- Strong planning and forecasting skills, including retail math and inventory management.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and effective leadership skills.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
2-3 years of previous planning or allocating experience in a retail or luxury fashion environment.
Annual base salary range of $85,000 to $90,000 USD, plus discretionary bonus.
