- Implement effective buying strategies in Milan based on Open-to-Buy (OTB), sales trends, and brand strategies.
- Define and review buying assortment and distribution plans in collaboration with the HQ retail merchandising team.
- Manage stock levels and allocations to maximize sales and achieve sell-through targets.
- Track deliveries, including seasonal and replenishment orders, and request replenishments for all categories.
- Organize product training sessions in line with each new collection launch.
- Ensure effective display and promotions, providing training for key investments in collaboration with Visual Merchandising, PR, and training teams.
- Visit stores regularly to provide training, share sales information, and discuss product strategy.
- Analyze market trends and competitor information for Japan and Guam, sharing insights with stores and HQ.
- Manage buying budget (OTB) and sales plan based on local merchandising strategy with a Merchandising Planner.
- Submit product requests based on local market trends and competitor analysis.
- Build local merchandising strategy with buyers and develop appropriate products, including exclusives for events and pop-ups.
- Ensure the merchandising, merchandising operations, and quality control teams are effectively resourced and motivated.
- Drive and develop team performance through effective team building and coaching.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HQ Retail Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, CRM, Client Engagement, Quality Control, Visual Merchandising, and Finance teams.
- University degree
- Over 7 years of merchandising experience, ideally in the luxury industry with women's products
- Experience in leading teams, including coaching and mentoring
- Fluent in English and Japanese
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills with a sense of ownership

A minimum of 7 years in merchandising within the luxury industry, particularly with women's products, and experience in team leadership.
