- Oversee the entire merchandising function for Directly Operated Stores (DOS) and Outlet channels, encompassing 28 DOS and 3 Outlet locations.
- Manage the Open-To-Buy (OTB) budget, ensuring alignment with company financial goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of eight merchandising professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies, including category mix and assortment planning, in line with directives from top management.
- Plan and execute buying activities for designated product categories, including participation in Milan buying campaigns.
- Monitor inventory levels, delivery schedules, and reordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate merchandise allocations to DOS and Outlet stores, liaising with store and warehouse teams for efficient stock operations.
- Analyze sales and sell-through data to devise strategies for stock liquidation and sales enhancement, adhering to HQ guidelines for markdowns and promotions.
- Provide product training and fashion trend insights to front-line staff, enhancing their product knowledge and customer engagement skills.
- Regularly report to the APAC CEO and Worldwide Retail Merchandising Director on sales performance, merchandise mix, and inventory status.
- Collaborate with the Retail Director to implement sales incentive programs and drive sales targets.
- Engage in cross-functional meetings with leadership, retail merchandising teams, and store managers to align on sales strategies and operational goals.
- Work closely with the PR team to coordinate editorial coverage and PR activities.
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising (VM) teams on store presentations and pop-up events.
- Align with the Customer Service team to address customer claims and service issues.
- Coordinate with the finance team during budget planning periods to align on merchandising procurement and stock movement plans.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in fashion merchandising or buying roles within international luxury fashion brands.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching, developing, and planning succession for large buying teams.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Exceptional presentation, planning, and analytical skills.
- High level of financial and business acumen.
- Strong fashion and market sense, particularly within the Korean luxury market.
A minimum of 15 years in a fashion merchandising or buying role with international luxury fashion brands, demonstrating strong leadership and team management capabilities.
