Officine Panerai — Neuchâtel: Buyer (New Product Procurement) to manage sourcing and supply for new collections.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end procurement for new product introductions: translate collection requirements into sourcing plans, purchase orders and delivery schedules.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships; negotiate commercial terms, lead times and quality agreements with internal standards for luxury watchmaking.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics and Commercial teams to ensure on-time availability for launches.
  • Manage demand forecasting, inventory planning and order cadence for novelties to minimise stockouts and excess inventory at launch.
  • Monitor supplier performance and procurement KPIs (OTD, lead time, cost variances); implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and sustainability requirements across the sourcing lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree or specialised procurement qualification is advantageous.
  • 3–5 years of procurement/purchasing experience, ideally within luxury goods, watches or jewelry and exposure to new product introduction.
  • Proven experience negotiating with suppliers, managing lead times and implementing inventory controls for product launches.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical rigour and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English; additional languages are a plus.
