Tiffany & Co. General Accounting Intern

- Organize daily bank files received from Treasury into cash tracking files.
- Record cash movements for wires, ensuring timely application.
- Collect and deposit checks received from business partners.
- Partner with other departments within the Controller’s group to ensure accurate recording of bank activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations for all US and Canadian bank accounts.
- Collaborate with departments to resolve reconciling items from bank reconciliations.
- Analyze over/short activity and partner with sales audit to identify potential fraud.
- Record and reconcile cash pooling activities between US, Canadian entities, and LVMH.
- Account for the education note program, partnering with collections on delinquent loan repayments.
- Explore and propose automation solutions to reduce manual reconciliation efforts.
- Support IT initiatives impacting retail cash collection through testing procedures.
- Obtained or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible work schedule during monthly and year-end closing.

Beginner level experience in accounting or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (pursuing or obtained).
$25/hr, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
