- Manage and assist the store design process from concept to store opening, ensuring brand image consistency.
- Develop and present initial concept designs and mood boards, collaborating with project architects on store layouts.
- Maintain communication with international distributors and cross-functional departments such as Creative Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Procurement.
- Research interior trends in retail and residential fields, leveraging the brand's heritage database.
- Oversee specifications and production of domestic and international finishes, including custom carpets, furnishings, and wallcoverings.
- Review furniture, lighting, and custom millwork shop drawings for design compliance and sample submittals.
- Partner with project architects to create presentations for senior management.
- Draw custom furniture, design elevations, patterns, carpets, and floor plans to scale in AutoCAD.
- Lead and mentor junior team members.
- Initiate market research for additional vendors to source new and existing interior design products.
- Create a positive, innovative, and collaborative culture among designers.
- Provide guidance and direction to ensure team engagement and accountability.
- Align individual goals with overall business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in luxury high-end interiors, residential or retail.
- Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to produce plans and elevations to scale.
- Knowledge of units and measure to communicate site-specific requirements and dimensions.
- 2D and 3D software skills.
- Experience in InDesign and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed plans and elevations.
- Strong design and conceptual skills with the ability to develop mood boards.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Market research capabilities for sourcing and vendor management.
- Leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, and hand sketching.
- Familiarity with Fohlio Specification Program.
A minimum of 6 years in luxury high-end interiors, either residential or retail, is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
The hiring range for this position is $101,575 – $137,425, dependent on skills and experience.
