Rimowa Technician

- Inspect luggage with clients to assess repair needs.
- Communicate realistic expectations regarding repair quality and timelines to clients.
- Inform clients about warranty policies.
- Determine if repairs can be conducted in-store or require client care department intervention.
- Update clients on repair progress, especially in cases of delays or complications.
- Ensure quality control of luggage before returning it to customers.
- Utilize systems such as RMS and spare catalogues for repair processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and manage spare parts inventory.
- Perform in-store repairs using appropriate parts and tools, adhering to RIMOWA standards.
- Exercise creativity in repairing vintage suitcases lacking original parts.
- Coordinate with the client care department for repairs beyond in-store capabilities.
- Support the Client Advisor team in sales when not engaged in repairs.
- Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment, particularly with small hand tools.
- Hands-on experience in a similar role, preferably within the luggage repair industry.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Mechanical background with proficiency in using hand and power tools is preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and structured approach to tasks.
- Proactive in client engagement and relationship building.
- Enthusiastic about retail and client care services.
- Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages are advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years in a related field or industry.
High School diploma or equivalent.
