- Conduct comprehensive trademark searches, including initial knockout searches.
- Manage trademark filings and prosecutions, serving as the primary liaison with foreign counsel.
- Oversee trademark renewals, oppositions, cancellations, and other administrative tasks.
- Review watch notices and collaborate with Maison lawyers for further action.
- Handle design filings, prosecutions, and renewals.
- Support negotiations and draft agreements such as settlements, co-existence, and licenses.
- Manage day-to-day design processes and invoice processing related to IP protection.
- Prepare and provide detailed trademark and design reports.
- Maintain the integrity of the records database (DIAMS) and update it with new portfolios and records.
- Generate various reports, including budget and financial spend reports.
- Collaborate closely with Maison lawyers to support ad hoc IP queries and research.
- Several years of experience in IP filing and prosecution, specifically in trademarks and designs.
- Mandatory in-house experience with international portfolio management, including WIPO filings.
- Broad knowledge of trademark and design filing and prosecution requirements.
- Proficiency in trademark searching and initial screening.
- Ability to review and filter trademark watch notices for potential oppositions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work quickly, flexibly, and proactively.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Professional attitude with integrity and discretion.
Several years of experience in intellectual property filing and prosecution, with a focus on trademarks and designs.
